First Berries of the 2009 season were picked on Doug's birthday (June 26). We transplanted 1800 of those strawberry plants the end of October so they would survive the winter. We do hope to have berries to sell this season (2010). We'll post on our
Farm Stand page when they are ready.
Doug could hardly wait to start working the soil, and the chickens love it when he harrows--fresh treats! Unfortunately, they started eating the crops and are now penned up until they learn to behave!
Final picture here is late year's experimental hoop house. A low profile version of the hoop house we are using this year.
